Save Arthur
«Very realistic!» – such evaluation of new equipment was given by the leading specialists of Komi Republican Clinical Hospital, Aleksey Perminov, Deputy Chief Doctor for Surgery, and Georgy Barvanyan, Professor of the Surgery Department, Head of the Surgical Department of the Regional Clinical Hospital. Local surgeons, gynecologists, pediatricians, most of them teaching at the walls of the university, were the first to test simulators. There was an autonomous wireless robot simulator of an adult patient «Leonardo» (this is the name given to a smart device at the plant), a robot patient simulator of the 6-8 year-old «Arthur», a portable virtual laparoscopy simulator with tactile feedback. Also, a set of educational histological microslides, an SL-P slit lamp, a video laryngoscope, a sterilizer and histological glasses were purchased for the institute. The purchase cost the university budget 15 million rubles.
– Due to the high physiological analogy of simulators with real patients, students will be able to train a full range of pediatric and therapeutic activities without leaving the institute. Also, high-tech simulators will become a useful tool for strengthening teamwork and clinical thinking of future pediatricians, general practitioners, – said Alexander Baranov, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Medical Institute Director. – By the way, all the equipment is Russian, made in Kazan. Therefore, no problems with spare parts and warranty service should arise.
