1. Procedure migration registration:

1.1. A foreign citizen who has entered the Russian Federation, must obtain the migration registration at the place of residence within 3 working days of arrival at the place of staying.

1.2. Migration registration of a foreign citizen who has entered the territory of Russia and arrived in SyktSU is performed by the International Department of the University in the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Komi on the condition of their staying in SyktSU dormitories and providing the citizen’s presenting the necessary documents on the day of arrival in SyktSU or in exceptional cases the next day.

1.3. The documents required for the production of foreign citizens in the Migration Service:

 A copy of a valid passport;

 A copy of the visa (in case of the visa regime).

1.4. Confirmation of a foreign citizen registration in the Migration Service in the Office of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Komi is the presence of a detachable part of the arrival notification with the mark of the territorial authority of the migration control.

2. Procedure for extension of sojourn in the Russian Federation:

2.1. The extension of validity of the visa for foreign citizens or stateless people who have arrived in Russia to study at an educational institution with the ordinary student visa is made by issuing a visa for a period of training, but not longer than one year for each subsequent visa.

2.2. In order to extent the validity of the visa minimum of six weeks before the expiration of the visa a foreign citizen shall present at the International Department of SyktSU the following documents

 The application form;

 A copy of a valid passport;

 A copy of the visa;

 The detachable part of the arrival notification;

 The receipt of the state duty payment in the amount established by the legislation of the Russian Federation;

 Two 3×4 cm photos (black and white or color on matte paper).

2.3. In order to extend the period of stay in the Russian Federation a foreign citizen shall present at the International Department of SyktSU the following documents:

 The application;

 A copy of a valid passport;

 A copy of the visa (in case of the visa regime);

 The detachable part of the arrival notification.

3. Removal from the migration register:

3.1. Removal from the migration registration of foreign citizens or stateless persons at the place of residence is carried out in case of departure from the place of stay or exit from the Russian Federation.

3.2. Removing a foreign student from the migration register is performed after presenting the detachable part of the arrival notification form at the new place of residence and at the time of departure at the border of the Russian Federation.
