On October 16-19, 2023, spiritual leaders and religious youth from around the world will discuss current problems and challenges in the spiritual and moral environment at the International Interreligious Youth Forum.More than 200 experts and key speakers who cover the topic of state-religious relations, as well as 20,000 participants, will gather at the Forum in order to create the image of Russia as a new preservation of traditional spiritual and moral values and protection of the believers’ rights world centre.On October 1-15, 2023, before the International Forum starts, expert sessions on topics of family values, historical and cultural heritage and the Russian civilization uniqueness are planned to be held in 53 Coordination Centres of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.As a result of these sessions, new ideas about traditional values among young people and their popularization will be developed.The forum is organized by the Presidential …

On September 9, 2023 Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University organized an event at University Botanical Garden. Students walked along the ecological path and played teambuilding games outdoors.The outdoor event “EcoPatriot” was held as a part of centralized religious organization “International Islamic Mission” project “Vzglyad” (Russian for “the Vision”) and with All-Russian international youth union support. The main purpose of the event was to unite more than 50 international students with Russian ones to foster civil ideas, promote nations togetherness, form civil identity.Grant project “Vzglyad” events were held from September 2 to September 9, 2023. As a result international students broadened their minds and also improved their cultural and educational level, developed tolerance and respect towards each other. On September 1, 2023 the student concert was held for the first-year students of Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University. In interactive areas, students learned about all opportunities they have at the University and got to know each other better.Student life has started with an annual spectacular event – evening program “Hello, first-year student!”. On September 2, 2023, international students of Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University had a meeting with Valiahmad Gayazov the chairman of centralized religious organization “Muslim Spiritual Board of the Komi Republic”. This meeting was held as part of the grant project “Vzglyad” (Russian for “the Vision”) and with support from the centralized religious organization “International Islamic Mission”.More than 50 international students from 11 Pitirim Sorokin SyktSU Institutes participated in this event. Muslim faith students discussed religion questions with the Imam Valiahmad and got acquainted with the history of Islam in the Komi Republic. A big republican holiday “Tie country” was held in the Finno-Ugric Ethno-cultural park on August 23-25, 2023. International students of Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University were able to participate in this fascinating event at the invitation of the organizer – regional branch of “Dvizhenie Pervyh” (Russian for “Movement of the First”) of Komi Republic.The holiday was timed to the centenary of Komi pioneering and was organized in coordination with the Finno-Ugric Ethno-cultural park. The first foreign student of the university to receive temporary residence permit for the purpose of education (TRPE). It is the student of the Medical Institute Ali Samir Sabbri Hemdan from Egypt. A passport with a new mark was handed to him by the head of the department for permitting and visa work, Larisa Popova.The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Komi has repeatedly met with foreign students to explain the procedures for obtaining permits, clarify the list of required documents and their validity periods, as well as the terms for considering foreign citizens’ applications. On April 27, fifth and sixth year students of the Medical Institute took part in the International Distance Olympiad in Pediatrics «My profession is a pediatrician», organized by the Grodno State Medical University.
