The Public Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation conducted an independent quality assessment of the conditions for the implementation of educational activities in educational institutions of the Russian Federation (IQA)The assessment was carried out by the federal operator Verkont Service Limited Liability Company. In 2021, 438 higher education institutions and their branches, including our university, went through an independent quality assessment of the conditions for the implementation of educational activities.The following criteria were assessed:· openness and availability of information about organizations carrying out educational activities;· the comfort of the conditions in which educational activities are carried out;· accessibility of services for people with disabilities;· benevolence, politeness of employees;· satisfaction with the conditions for conducting educational activities of organizations.Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University showed high performance in all criteria (92,54%; 88,5%; 99,9%; 96%; 91,05% respectively), which is confirmed by the IQA participant certificate.

The administration of Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University held a working meeting with the Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Park Joo Yong. On 22 May, Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University hosted the final Freshman Spartakiads.Students from the Institute of Social Technology, the Institute of Sciences and Information Technology, the Institute of Medicine, the Institute of Law and the University College of Economics, Law and Computer Science of Pitirim Sorokin Syktyvkar State University attended swimming competitions.The competition took place in the swimming pool of the university. The students had to swim 50 meters with a freestyle. On May 11, the results of the Republican Scientific-Practical Conference named after V. Gladilov «Contemporary Issues of Theoretical, Fundamental and Clinical Medicine» were announced.Valentin Gladilov worked at Syktyvkar State University after postgraduate study from 1975 to 1996, where he made his career from assistant to Vice Rector in scientific work. In 1996, Gladilov founded a branch of the Kirov Medical Academy in Syktyvkar and became its director. On April 24, the Komi Republic House of Friendship of the Peoples held the III Festival of national and ethnic fashion «Northern style».It is a unique creative project held in the Komi Republic since 2017. The foundation of the festival is a competition of the best costume collections created by Komi Republic modern designers and masters. This year 37 collections took part in the festival in 5 nominations: «Traditional clothes», «Stage costume», «Modern author’s costume», «Eco fashion» and «Workshop of the Future».
